Strategy

Socially responsible investingA good sustainability strategy gives you a framework for managing your most significant social, environmental and broader economic issues. It drives change by putting sustainable practices at the heart of your business, and by making sustainability profitable.

At Two Tomorrows, we help you develop your sustainability strategy, and then turn it into action on the ground.

We typically start by helping you identify the material issues you need to respond to. We do this by calling on our knowledge of the issues in your industry and by working closely with your senior managers and external stakeholders. This pivotal process usually culminates in the use of our Materiality Matrix tool to map your material issues and pin down your strategic priorities.

We then help you devise a strategy, linked to your core business plan, that minimises your organisation’s risks, and enables you to make the most of the opportunities – for example to develop new products or services in response to emerging social or environmental issues.

The resulting strategy typically sets out your vision, principles and policies. It also defines your approach to governance, stakeholder engagement and reporting, as well as the key sustainability themes for your organisation, including for example ethical sourcing and producer responsibility.
