Two Tomorrows leads in AA1000AS assurance

Published on: Jan 23, 2009

Two Tomorrows is the clear market leader in the provision of independent report assurance using the AA1000 Assurance Standard (AA1000AS), according to figures from Corporate Register, the online directory of CSR reports.

Two Tomorrows launched on 1 January 2009 following the merger of csrnetwork and Sd3, two of the leading sustainability and CSR consultancies.

Over the past five years, the two forerunner companies have assured 46 reports using AA1000AS – more than twice that of any other provider. Companies assured include The Co-operative Group, Holcim, EDF Energy, Stora Enso, Scottish Power, Samsung, Balfour Beatty, Royal & Sun Alliance and Royal Mail.

Corporate Register’s list of AA1000AS assurance providers is included in an introduction to AA1000AS by AccountAbility (PDF file) - see p28 ‘Directory of Assurance Providers’.

Mark Line, executive chairman of Two Tomorrows, says: “Companies who accept the challenge of producing meaningful reports are attempting to drive real change, both for themselves as well as for society. This responsible behaviour goes beyond the headlines because it demonstrates understanding and action. Going one step further and choosing to assure a report provides the key to securing the trust of stakeholders.”
