Sustainability charter assessment
We worked with global consumer goods company Procter & Gamble to assess its application to be accredited under the International Association for the Soap and Detergent Industry (AISE) sustainability charter.
This assignment was carried out as part of our role as an official independent assessor of applications to the charter. Applicants are assessed on whether they have implemented nine sustainability procedures covering areas such as raw material selection and manufacturing processes.
We were selected to carry out the charter ‘entrance check’ because of our experience as sustainability report auditors and our extensive knowledge of sustainability management systems.
We met with Procter & Gamble to prepare an assessment plan and to determine the availability of evidence. Our assessment involved examining documentation and interviewing relevant staff.
We reported our findings directly to AISE, which then notified Procter & Gamble that its application had been successful. As a result, the company can now use the AISE sustainable cleaning charter logo in its marketing.
