Strategic support to industry body
We supported the 20 members of the International Council on Mining & Metals (ICMM) by coordinating their contribution to the development of the mining and metals sector supplement to the Global Reporting Initiative’s G3 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines.
The overarching objective of the project was to enhance the quality and consistency of non-financial reporting by ICMM members, and other users of the sector supplement. Our work included researching, analysing and summarising experience from the use of the pilot sector supplement involving:
- a stakeholder survey to gather stakeholder views
- structured interviews with selected stakeholders to gain further insight
- benchmark assessment against a range of reports
- analysis and interpretation of results (survey, interviews, benchmark).
