Strategic extractives advice to engineering group
The infrastructure business of engineering group Arup asked us to support a review of its commercial strategy in the extractives industry. We ran internal stakeholder engagement for Arup and analysed the findings.
We deployed a dedicated team to develop market reports, facilitate and analyse internal stakeholder engagement, analyse business processes, make board-level presentations, assist in running workshops and provide ad hoc advice.
We went on to provide similar consulting support in relation to Arup’s strategy for its infrastructure business in a key regional market in Europe.
Arup is well known for landmark projects such as the Sydney Opera House, the Channel Tunnel Rail Link and the Scottish Parliament. Arup also has a strong record in the petrochemical and mining sectors, with successes in, for example, oil platform improvements in Nigeria, oil and gas pipelines in South Africa, and environmental feasibility work at the famous Olympic Dam mine in Australia.
