Reporting support for UK financial institution
We advised and supported Nationwide Building Society on three consecutive sustainability reports.
Our work with the leading UK financial institution began when we helped it produce its first web-based sustainability report and an accompanying printed summary report.
We started by conducting a baseline review of Nationwide’s social and environmental processes and performance. This enabled us to propose a structure for the report and to begin collecting information. We went on to write most of the content for the web-based report and the printed summary, and to advise on report design and production.
While helping develop the report, we also drafted a sustainability policy for Nationwide outlining its overall corporate responsibilities and its commitments to members, employees, communities and the environment.
Following our baseline review, we also recommended that Nationwide adopt an environmental management system – a recommendation implemented shortly afterwards.
We subsequently went on to provide hands-on support to Nationwide on its next two sustainability reports.
