Report assurance for global consumer products giant
Kimberly-Clark, a world-leading consumer products company with 56,000 employees and operations in 35 countries, asked us to conduct independent assurance of its 2009 and 2010 sustainability reports.
For both reports, we conducted a comprehensive assurance process using AA1000AS (2008) to evaluate the materiality, completeness and responsiveness of Kimberly-Clark’s reporting.
Our work involved interviewing a range of senior managers as well as staff responsible for collecting performance data. Informational key claims, with the exception of financial information related to Kimberly-Clark’s annual report, were included in the scope of our assurance. We used the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Quality of Information Principles as criteria for evaluating performance information.
