Helping Masco launch sustainability reporting
We have supported US DIY and construction materials company Masco on its sustainability programme since 2004.
Our work with the Fortune 500 corporation began when we advised and provided hands-on support on the production of Masco’s first and second sustainability reports covering 2004-05 and 2005-06 respectively.
For both reports, our work involved advising Masco on what its key sustainability performance indicators should be, and how to monitor performance. We then provided support by collating data, devising a structure, and then drafting text. We also reviewed each report prior to publication and recommended final changes, as well as recommending how the report should be launched. Both reports were produced in line with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) sustainability reporting guidelines.
More recently, we have advised Masco on the preparation of its climate change reporting for the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). This has involved verifying data quality, including checking data aggregation and assessing adherence to the WRI/WBCSD GHG Protocol.
