Setting sustainability direction and priorities
We have helped Bechtel, one of the world’s largest engineering and construction firms, to establish its sustainability direction and priorities.
We worked with the company’s UK-based Civil Infrastructure business to assess its position on sustainable development. We compared the business to a peer group of companies, provided a review of significant legislative and market forces shaping CSR issues in the industry, and presented various options. This provided the basis for a new CSR strategy for the business.
Following this, we ran workshops for operational managers to help them understand key sustainable development issues. The workshops included an exercise to enable managers to build key CSR issues into their plans, and to communicate effectively about them with stakeholders.
