First assurance for Korean electronics manufacturer
Samsung Electro-Mechanics, a manufacturer of a wide range of electronic products from components to completed assemblies, commissioned Two Tomorrows to provide independent assurance of its Citizenship Report.
Two Tomorrows teamed up with BSI to create a multi-disciplinary assurance team with a broad range of skills and depth of experience providing a high level of competency for assurance engagements.
The assurance was conducted using the AA1000 Assurance Standard. As part of the assurance work, we made a number of recommendations to Samsung Electro-Mechanics. They included:
- improving the process used to determine material issues with more input from existing stakeholder communication channels especially for engaging with community and non-governmental organisations
- integrating stakeholder feedback into the development of sustainability strategies and decision-making.
