Evaluation of sustainability reporting
We evaluated the sustainability reporting processes of Germany-based consumer products and chemicals company Henkel in 2005. We assessed the company’s processes for reporting, dialogue and auditing against emerging good practice, with strong reference to the AA1000 framework.
The first phase of work was based on comparing Henkel’s performance with that of the world’s largest companies, and a subset of peer group companies, as uncovered by our annual Accountability Rating survey. The second phase of work was based on interviews with Henkel senior managers.
