Assurance for Korean education company
We were commissioned by WoongJin Think Big to provide independent assurance of its first sustainability report. WoongJin Think Big has a 30-year history of involvement in education and publishing in South Korea.
We conducted the assurance work in accordance with the AA1000 Assurance Standard (2008) using Type 1 assurance criteria. The process included interviews with senior managers and others within the organisation.
We subsequently made recommendations to WoongJin Think Big including:
- raise awareness of customers and the general public of the implications of sustainable development for future generations in line with the objective of Woongjin Think Big to be ‘the education and culture company’
- align core management processes with sustainability management by identifying and addressing the environmental and social expectations of WoongJin Think Big’s stakeholders.
