Assurance of first sustainability report by Doosan Group company
Doosan Infracore, part of the Doosan Group, is Korea's leading machine tool company and has operations in Europe, North America and China.
We undertook assurance of Doosan Infracore’s 2009 sustainability report. We carried out the assurance using the AA1000Assurance Standard (2008), which covers:
- evaluation of adherence to the AA1000APS (2008) principles of inclusivity, materiality and responsiveness (the Principles) and
- the reliability of specified sustainability performance information.
As part of our assurance work, we made several recommendations to Doosan Infracore including:
- extending current governance of environment, health and safety issues to encompass broader sustainability issues
- establishing a high-level decision-making body to ensure management of the material social issues.
