Assurance of CSR data monitoring system
John Lewis Partnership asked us to provide independent assurance of its ‘SR-Online’ IT system that it used for collating CSR data and monitoring and analysing CSR performance. This work for the leading UK retailer between 2005 and 2006 also involved an examination of the processes and controls in place for the aggregation of data.
Based on a detailed review of the system, interviews with key staff, an examination of processes for collecting and using CSR information, and sample testing of data, we produced a report for John Lewis management setting out our findings and recommendations. We also provided a short summary of our report for use externally in the John Lewis CSR report.
