AA1000AS assurance for transport group since 2002
We have provided independent assurance of the CSR reports produced by transport company First Group since 2002.
Our assurance work is based on the AA1000 Assurance Standard (AA1000AS). It involves interviews with senior managers to review corporate structure, governance arrangements, CSR strategy and organisation, as well as social, health and safety, and environmental management systems. We also interview First Group personnel who provide data for the report, check the systems for consolidating data at divisional and group level, and visit sites in the UK and USA to check local data generation and performance claims.
We have also helped First Group’s internal audit team develop self-assessment tools to validate CSR data on an ongoing basis.
