AA1000AS assurance for engineering company
We were the independent assurance provider to UK-based engineering company Smiths Group on its 2003 and 2004 environment, health and safety reports. Our work involved interviewing senior managers about corporate structure, safety, health and environmental objectives, governance arrangements and environmental management systems. We also interviewed providers of data for the report and visited Smiths Group sites in Europe, Mexico and the USA to check specific data and performance claims. We conducted the assurance process with reference to the AA1000 Assurance Standard (AA1000AS).
