AA1000AS assurance for EDF Energy since 2006
We have provided independent assurance of EDF Energy’s sustainability performance reports since 2006.
In carrying out our assurance work, we have assessed the reports against the AA1000 Assurance Standard (AA1000AS). We have also provided recommendations for how EDF Energy could improve future reports.
Our work has involved extensive interviews with senior managers and providers of data and information, as well as visits to EDF Energy power generation sites.
In addition, in 2009 we advised on and reviewed EDF Energy's application to the UK's Green Energy Supply Certification Scheme through our green tariff verification service. The application was successful and the company is now able to use the 'Green Energy Certified' label to promote its Green Tariff.
